Gianluca Scialfa's career in the hotel industry began at an early age in his family's guesthouse in Cesenatico, where from his earliest years he was able to taste and breathe in that innate capacity for hospitality which has always characterised tourism on the Riviera, making it a unique model. His path, characterized by a precocious managerial inclination in the hotel industry, led him, at the age of only fourteen, to Germany where he found employment as a bartender. This experience, as well as increasing his technical and professional skills in the beverage sector and his language knowledge, allowed him to observe a wider hotel management, compared to the typical family management in Romagna. So he left for Paris, where he found a job at a 5-star hotel, as a waiter.
This new adventure, as well as implementing his knowledge of the French language, allowed him to learn the most advanced room service techniques as well as the management of the restaurant service in the round. But he never forgot Romagna, a land he deeply loves and to which he feels indissolubly linked and, during the summer seasons he continued working in his family's guesthouse in Cesenatico. His passion for the world of hospitality, his experiences abroad, which have allowed him to acquire highly technical and specialized skills, and the need to deal with increasingly complex business realities pushed him, at the age of eighteen, to leave the family guesthouse to continue his work experience in other hotels on the Adriatic Coast.

1990
These experiences completed his professional career and in 1990, at the age of twenty-five, he began his career as a hotelier with the opening of his first hotel.
1995
A great connoisseur of the global tourism market and always attentive to innovation, in 1995 he was the first hotelier to introduce the "All Inclusive" treatment on the Adriatic Coast.
2004
In 2004 he founded Blu Lido Hotels together with his trusted friend Emilio Montaguti, who, thanks to years of experience as hotel manager in the best foreign tourist resorts and as artistic director on cruise ships, will contribute greatly to the creation of the "value" of the company, bringing with him all the know-how of the entertainment sector. The new company will manage the Hotel San Pietro **** in Cesenatico and will purchase three small hotels and 6000 m2 of parkland adjacent to them. The block will be transformed into the Metropolitan Village of Cesenatico, thus introducing a new element of innovation to the Romagna Riviera, namely the tourist village, a type of organisation and management which until then had been the prerogative only of Italian and foreign tour operators. The Metropolitan Village was, and still is, characterised by a very precise management choice, that is to say to enhance the first "value" of Italians, that is the family. And so children become the most important element for the Blu Lido around which all the services are developed, aimed at making the little guests and consequently their mothers happy.
2009
Five years later, the company acquired the Hotel Mokambo in Cesenatico, completely rebuilding it with a desing that reflects a modern and dynamic society where it is easy to identify architectural elements of international influence from which Gianluca was inspired. Looking at the Mokambo the mind cannot help but run to Miami! The management of Mokambo will be entrusted to Shore Hotels, a company created by Gianluca together with his historic secretary Susanne Erculei. Susanne's career began in 1990 as Gianluca's secretary and in 1996 she became the executive director of two hotels managed by Scialfa. Over the years, Susanne has focused her attention and studies not only on hotel management, but also on personnel management, dealing personally with the recruting and training of all the staff working in Shore Hotels, aiming at an excellent business organization without ever neglecting the enhancement of the people working in it, the real added value of every company. Over the years, the two companies have always continued to study and observe the tourism market and its dynamics. A world constantly subject to evolutions and changes, especially with the advent of new web technologies that have transformed not only the way people choose and buy, but also their lifestyle.
2016
In order to respond in the most personalized way possible to the various needs of its customers, in 2016 Color Holiday was founded, which will include in its management all the hotels of the Blu Lido and Shore Hotels group with over 200,000 customers, 650 rooms and 300 employees. Today, Color Holiday offers different types of tourism:
